Wild Caught Tuna Salad
Wild Caught Tuna salad is a light, yet filling meal that is great for the summer months.
Most people are busy relaxing, going on vacation, amongst other things or just simply want to eat something quick. This summer I’ve tried to make quicker meals, except on Sunday.
Sundays in an exception. I just love to have a good wholesome meal on Sundays.
Other than on Sundays, I prefer to spend more of my time watching my favorite t.v. shows, going to the pool or enjoying time outside.
Lately, it hasn’t been getting dark here until almost 9:30 p.m. and I love it. I’m a summer baby so naturally, summer is my favorite time of year.
I just don’t have time to spend hours cooking or the activity that I least enjoy washing dishes. Who’s with me? I love cooking but can pass on cooking dishes any day.
Even though it’s not my preference, I have learned to use my dishwasher a lot more lately. It seemed like more of a hassle to use the dishwasher at first, but now it had definitely been a time saver.
We are using Wild Caught Tuna– in water, was used for this recipe.
This is a great tuna choice for making tuna salad. Definitely make sure that you pick up the tuna in water vs. tuna in oil. It’s light and therefore mixes well with the other ingredients.
Gala apples and purple onion were used to give the tuna added flavor and texture. Gala apples are in the red apple family.
If you do not have this type of apple in your area, a red apple or comparable will do! The touch of sweetness to the tuna gives it extra texture and flavor.
This tuna salad is great served with crackers or your favorite sandwich bread, preferably a sturdy sandwich bread since tuna is already soft.
Until next time!
